Just got back from sunny Spain - it was amazing! I'm sure you'll be pleased to know I haven't caught a tan (I never do), I guess I'll be as white as a sheet forever (; but I'd rather be "pale and interesting" (quote my mum). Before this week I'd never been to Spain and I absolutely loved it; the architecture, the people, the views, the food - I adored it all. It's a shame my camera has broken, but I'm saving up for a new one (note to self - get a job).
I have loads of stuff for school to do and I have all of three days (almost two) to complete my English and I.T. coursework, prepare my French speaking exam and to get revising for a Maths GCSE I have in a few weeks. I've already wasted half of today slobbing around in my pjs eating spaghetti hoops and playing Guitar Hero, and tomorrow I'm on a film-making/media course. Argh! So instead of moaning about it I'd better get started, ciao for now!
P.S. Oh and I've just started three new books - Yes Man by Danny Wallace, because Danny Wallace is pure legend, Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, because it's a classic and I loved the TV show, and Emma by Jane Austin, because it seemed a cool book.

Elle?
So, as you can probably guess by the title, I haven't yet bought this month's Elle - but I do have this month's Vogue. I love Vogue but apparently it's not as trendy as Nylon, i-D, and even Elle anymore. I guess it's more for the older generation, but whatever - I'm not really a follower of fashion in the clothes I wear (OK, I tell a lie - but I mean high fashion), I'm more interested in the art and creativity side of it. Despite all this I really loved some of the things I spotted in Vogue so I recommend going down to wherever you buy your magazines and get it! However, if you're not converted yet here's some of my personal favourites...
1. Ok so there was this great article about fashion coffee-table books, now i absolutely love books like this and so I am now on the look out for Yves Saint Laurent Style and Drawing Fashion: The Art of Kenneth Paul Block.
2. So I can't find a picture which is really annoying, but there was this gorgeous silver/grey, silk-jersey dress from Yong at Liberty for £1,505. A bit out of the price range I know but I adored it!
3. There was a T-shirt company which looked really great, their tees have been worn by Mary Kate olsen and the like! They're called LnA click here. Plus, on closer inspection it seems they also do dresses, etc.
4. I found two belts (sorry couldn't find images); a black, crocodile one with a gold buckle from Ralph Lauren for £2,400 and a blue, leather one from Just Cavalli with a gold 'JC' buckle for £95.
5. And lastly I absolutely loved the whole this about beauty; "Many woman are pretty, few are beautiful." and, "Prettiness is the enemy of beauty - it cancels our beauty's greatness, grandeur and presence". I personally think these eight great and unforgetable women are truly beautiful: Audrey Hepburn (obviously! I love her), Keira Knightley (the classic example of modern beauty), Brigitte Bardot (amazing!), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (below. Some girls get all luck! She's one of Britain's greatest young, up-and-coming models), Sophia Loren (when I think of her I think of Hollywood Glamour), Faye Dunaway (stunning eyes and other strong features), Kate Moss (not only does she share the same birthday as me, but she is one of the most recognisable faces in fashion, she's great) and Jean Shrimpton (quote from Vogue: "One of the most perfect noses in creation").

So there you have it. Some reasons to go out and redeem that Vogue-therapy you've been lacking. Anyway, I'm off to watch the final! Australia's Next Top Model (I love it, compared to Britain's NTM and America's NTM all the girls are so fresh-faced and healthy!) Ciao for now xo
